Hi I'm Aubree

I grew up in Oregon. I'm an Advanced EMT, going to become a Paramedic/Firefighter and/or Police Officer. And I am Mormon

About Me

Moved from Oregon to Utah when I was in high school and I'm going to college now. I'm studying Emergency Services to become a Paramedic/Firefighter because I love and enjoy helping others. I'm also interested in Police work. I've volunteered and been involved with my local police department for over two years. I love playing sports especially soccer, volleyball, basketball, flag football, and ultimate Frisbee. I also like running and weightlifting. I'm currently employed as an A-EMT on the main college campus and I also work as a security guard in Lehi. In my free time I go country dancing, play with my niece and nephews, and catching up with my friends. I'm the youngest of six children, with my closest sibling being five years older.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it brings peace into my heart. We live in such a troubled world where people are discouraged, lonely, and feel lost. Maybe it's because they don't understand there is a purpose to life, and that they are very loved by their Father in Heaven. I know because I used to feel this way too. But now, I know my purpose in life, I know Heavenly Father loves me because He has always been there for me and hasn't left my side. When I took a step back to look at my life and spent the time to earnestly seek Him, on my knees in fervent prayer, I found myself surrounded by such a warm loving embrace, followed by silent tears of joy that I had not felt before, and I knew it was my Savior. The Gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, brings peace to my soul and provides me guidance and direction of where I need to be in my life. Because of the Church, I have a greater desire to be like Christ, the best I can be. Although I know I'm not perfect, and I will stumble at times, He knows this. But He loves us so much that He has created a plan for us. That if we repent and come unto him with a contrite spirit and broken heart, He has promised to forgive us with open arms. But I know I must do my part first. I will do my best to be an example and be ready to help anyone around me. I will continue to follow most carefully in His straight and narrow path that I may someday be able to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I get myself involved with a lot of community service opportunities because I really enjoy helping those around me. I've done service through both my church and the police department. Through my ward, I organized a fundraiser to purchase, make, and donate blankets to small town orphanage in Mexico who were desperately in need of them. I also have been involved in providing and serving lunch for the homeless in my city. Though what I enjoyed most was my calling as a ward missionary. I was able to visit and spend time with those in my ward who we haven't seen in a while. Being able to help with anything they need, letting them know we care for them, that we notice when they are not there, and they are missed. Outside of church, I've volunteered over 200 hours of service for my local police department. They are so great to our community but they can always use the help of extra hands. A couple summers ago, I was put in charge of huge fundraiser to provide money for youth programs in our community. I had to make sure that SWAT, the K-9's, the bomb squad, search and rescue, detectives, police officers, and the fire department with their trucks, engines, and rescue units were all there at the park I had reserved. In addition, we had a D.J., lots of food, and the U.S. military was there giving away prizes. I was only 17 years old at the time this was appointed to me, so it was a big responsibility for me, but because of the things that I've learned through my church organization, I was able handle it with little stress. I always try to see the best in others and help in any way I can.
