Hi I'm McCade Tracy

I've grown up in Utah my whole life, and currently serving in the Kentucky Louisville Mission! Love sports and to be outdoors!

About Me

I have been a huge sports fan my entire life, and I hope I can use what I've learned from watching and playing them to adapt to any situation that I encounter. I'm very interested in engineering for a career. I did not attend college before my mission, because I only had a semester gap and I chose to work and earn some money to use when I get back home. I worked as a Survey Tech for that time, which took me to Wisconsin and Oklahoma. I love doing that because I love to travel! 17 states left to visit in the USA! Through High School I played football and threw the Javelin in Track, I had a great time but it pushed me away from church. Even though I went every week, I didn't go searching for answers until I was out of town and I felt the work slow down and take longer than expected. It was then that I realized that Church is something that helps for the rest of the week, and from then on I began to change and really use the Atonement of Christ to my advantage and change into the worthy priesthood holder that I needed to be to serve a mission. I learned so much from my parents and their example in working hard and putting your trust in the Lord because with Jesus Christ and God anything and everything is possible. The one thing that my family taught me was to always think and find the things that I did well during the day and week, after you find those things focus on the things in which you can use to improve each day to finally follow the example of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know it's true. For the first few years of my life I held to my parents coat-tails until I was about 14-15 years old and I finally took the time to ponder and pray about the things that I've learned through my years of going to Church with my family. As I prayed I felt the Spirit very strongly, I can only describe the event as a big warm hug on the inside and from that moment I knew that it was true and I have never looked back. On my mission, I had numerous people tell me that I was wrong and that I hung my soul on a feeling but with so many people trying to destroy my beliefs that's how I knew that it all was and is true. I know that many people will try and tear my faith down but it's in vain because I will always know that this is Christ's original Church once again on the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by finding the small miracles in the day, there is quite a lot that competes for our attention in the world and it can be hard to listen to the small voices or find the small things that make each day worth it. The world is yelling and screaming for out attention and draw us away from God more and more. A way that I've found to block out the world is by setting my sights on what is to com in the next life and what I can to in order to prepare myself for that. One of my favorite quotes from Steve Cook really drives home the point that we have to prepare to meet God in the end : "Always preparing for what's next, because the minute that you take a step back and rest on what you did your done. This is what we call Pre..... Everything is Pre and Pre is everything." We need to keep going and it's sayings like these that help me push through and focus on what really matters, and that is following the Saviours' example the best we can so we can prepare to meet God at the last day. Yes, we won't be able to be perfect but we can do our best and get there. I want to get to the point of being absolutely exhausted at the end of this journey, we are here for greatness and to be what our Father in Heaven wants us to do and that is learning and trust in Him to push through. I want to be able to look back on this life and say that I left an impact on people, and that comes by giving our best and lead by example just as Christ did throughout His life.
