Hi I'm Erin

I love thunderstorms, a good laugh, big hair, and sea foam green. I'm a Texan through & through, and... I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Well, I'm the very middle of 5 kids, and I absolutely love that I have 4 built-in best friends! I enjoy sports and basically anything active, but my favorite activities happen to be soccer, raquetball, and exploring the beautiful canyon near my hometown. Concerning any aspect of life that can have anything that resembles a winner... I'm way too competitive. I play the piano, but I refuse to count and use the proper fingering, and I love to sing, though, admittedly, I won't be offered a record deal any time soon. Ever, actually. I'm a homebody, though I'm always up to try something new, and I graduated from the best university in the world (West Texas A&M) with a degree in Corporate Communication. Life always surpises me, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for me next!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? In a phrase it's because I have felt in my heart and know in my soul that this gospel is true. I didn't always know, but I knelt in prayer and asked my Heavenly Father if it was true, and I received my answer. I know the joy that actively following the Lord's commandments and seeking after truth brings, and I know the confusion and loneliness when I've chosen to seperate myself from God's love and guidance. I love how everything makes sense, how everything is centered around our Savior, Jesus Christ, and how everything brings an immeasureable amount of hope.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting everything I have to offer on the table and serving in whatever capacity I am needed. I realize that we are given abilities in order to help and strengthen those around us, and we can grow closer to Christ and develop talents beyond what we thought was possible if we have a willing heart and actively uplift our friends and family. I'm human, I make mistakes, but I live my faith by picking myself up, dusting myself off, and resolving to be better, to do better, and to rely on the Lord to strengthen and guide me. I have the great privilege to serve in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission, where I will be able to live my faith by sharing the gospel with those around me. I can think of no better way of embodying my faith than to teach and testify of Christ.
