Hi I'm Reyna

My family is originally from Utah, but I grew up in Russia and The Netherlands. I love volleyball! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I don't really have a place I am "from." I am a mix--I feel at home in the USA, Russia and in The Netherlands. I am a student at BYU, but for the next 18 months I will be living in Russia as a missionary. I love volleyball, basketball, running and all things made with chocolate or melted cheese.

Why I am a Mormon

While it is true that I was born into a Mormon family, at some point or another everyone has to really decide for themselves if they believe in the message of the gospel. I have studied the scriptures, and I know the Book of Mormon is true! Through prayer I have had the assurance that this is the only true church on the Earth. By keeping the commandments and following the words of our living prophet I have seen the blessing that the gospel is. I know that Jesus Christ lived and died for us. The Atonement is real. Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us so much, and want us to be happy. The Lord has a plan for each of us. He has given us so many tools to help us through this life--the scriptures, prophets, the Holy Ghost and families. I love the gospel, and I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I have served in a few different positions in my wards and branches. I was the branch organist for awhile in The Netherlands, and I also got to teach Sunday school to the 5-6 year old class. In my ward at BYU I taught Sunday school as well. In high school I organized activities for youth, such as service projects. Some examples of events I helped plan and put together are caroling at the elderly home, career night, a cook-off and a talent show.
