Hi I'm Lindsay

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am originally from California. I moved with my Mom, Dad, and Sister at the end of 2003 to Utah because of my Dad's job. In high school and college I discovered I had a special place in my heart for individuals with special needs. When I return from my mission I am going to continue my education and either go into Occupational Therapy or Special Education. Either way I will be able to help those who need me! I also have discovered a love of photography. I love taking all kinds of landscape and portrait photographs. My Dad works really hard for my family and always has. He has such a devoted heart to us and I know he would do anything for us. My Mom has been lucky enough to stay at home with my sister and I. She is a rock and a great example to the family. My sister Tori, is two years younger than I and my best friend. We have been through everything together and I am lucky to have her. I have such a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father. I am so glad that I was born into the church and I am happy to serve and give of my time to bring others to have the joy I know of and love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in 1992 and my parents were active in the Church. Both were born and raised members. And both went through tough times with their parents. My Mom was raised by her grandparents because her parents were absent from her life. My Dad's Dad left when he was only 16 and my Dad being the oldest became a parent for the family along with his Mother, my Grandmother. Luckily they both had the gospel in their lives and they clung to it for some kind of balance. When I was going to be turning 8, I could not wait to be baptized. I wasn't exactly sure why I wanted to be baptized, but I knew it felt right and it was something I needed. As time went on, I of course had my moments of doubt and questions just like many others, but I always realized the road I was headed down was not somewhere I wanted to go. So I would open my scriptures and get on my knees and pray to my loving Heavenly Father and He would always help me. Making the decision to serve the Lord and go on a mission was one of the scariest choices I have ever made. But having made the choice through the Spirit, I have been given a strength I did not know I had to commit to leaving my home and gathering Zion back together unto The Lord. Everyone deserves to know of the sacrifice our Savior has made for us and I want to be one of the ones to bring that joyous message.

How I live my faith

I attend Sacrament Meeting and all of my meetings each Sunday. I look forward to hearing of the testimonies shared during church. They always lift me up and inspire me to continue living righteous throughout the next week. I recently was in primary teaching the 5 and 6 year olds with a really good friend of mine. We loved being with these kids. They had so much energy and passion to learn about Jesus Christ. They knew at such a young age what He had done for them and they appreciated it. I know they may not know the extent of exactly how much He suffered for us but they were beginning to understand and love Him. I too love Him and appreciate that He died for us on the cross. I enjoy Visiting Teaching as well. It gives me a chance to go to a fellow Sister's home and talk with them for a short time. This too gives me strength to continue living my life the way I should. I know that attending all of the meetings I am supposed to attend will continue to remind me and bless me with all of the wonderful blessings Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ have promised me.
