Hi I'm Maria Watson

I was adopted from Bolivia. I grew up in Kansas. I am a dyslexic. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a dyslexic college student. I like to go dancing with friends and eating food. I love helping people and listening to their problems. I love to work hard and get things done.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to live as a member of this church because it has helped me get through troubles in my life. I do not have one moment that has changed me, but throughout my life i have seen the Saviors hand in my life. He helped me get through the stress of middle school and high school, changing schools, and moving off the college and making new friends. I am not a social person, but He has helped me gain the courage to want to go out and get to know people. He has helped me with my education, because I never thought I would be on the path of becoming an Accountant. He has helped me decide to go on a mission. I have gained a comfort that the Church is true, and that the family that I am will be together for all eternity. I have learnind that His Gospel is for me persinal and for others who are willing to learn with an open mind and an open heart.

How I live my faith

I was a visiting teacher in my college community, and visited with fellow young women. I helped my mother with her calling with the very young children. I help my mother in her calling with the older women in our ward.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Maria Watson
With the 10% increase that we give to the church it goes to help further the church. Some part of that that has affected me is that it helps makes education cheaper for some people, and fund the missionary programs. It helps us to be able to construct our religious buildings, and materials we use in our church classes and other organizations. Show more Show less
