Hi I'm Kathlene

I have a wonderful Peruvian heritage. I love learning different languages, and love life. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am Peruvian American. I have lived my whole life among these two cultures. This caused me to love other cultures and people, which consequently, got me interested in studying Socio-Cultural Anthropology at Brigham Young University. I am fascinated by different languages and try to learn as many as I can. I like to try new things and eat different types of foods. However, I do draw the line at cow tongue and squid! my family is the most important thing in my life and I wouldn't be the person I am today without them!

Why I am a Mormon

The church is the reason why I am truly happy every day. The church has guided my parents to teach my brothers and me correct principles and morals, and ultimately, to respect and love everyone. I am so grateful to be born in the church and have the knowledge that I have a loving heavenly father and that I am his daughter. Although life is not easy, it is something that I know I am not going through alone. My older brother Jesus Christ is the one person who knows all my pain and understands my challenges in life, without him, I would be lost. Growing up in the church has pushed me to find my own testimony and reading the Book of Mormon was the key to my own personal faith. I am so happy to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

How I live my faith

I strive every day to be as positive as I can be about everything! The lord has given us challenges so that we can grow and I have grown a lot and keep doing so. I promise to be true to my beliefs and be an example as my family has been to me.
