Hi I'm Braquel Buckley

I grew up in Salt Lake. I will be serving in the California, Los Angeles mission speaking Spanish. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently getting ready to leave on my mission to Los Angeles, where I'll be speaking Spanish. I recently finished my associates degree and will only have a year left of school after my mission before graduating with a bachelors degree in Communications. I love running, and I finished my first marathon in June of 2012. My family is a huge part of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. When I have free time I enjoy doing basically anything involving a boat.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was born into the church, I can't really say that I have an amazing conversion story like so many members do. I don't remember a time when I was ever not a member. I do, however, remember coming to the realization at a very young age, that this gospel was special and that this was definitely the church for me. Why did I feel this way? How, without any investigation of other religions did I know I belonged to Christ's true church? The answer to that question is simple, in fact it can be summed up in two words: Eternal families. When I learned in primary that because I was sealed to my parents in the temple, I would always be with them and that if I would follow their example and marry in the temple that death would not ever separate me from those I loved, I knew that this was the true gospel. I'm so grateful that I need not fear mortal death or tribulation because I know that Heavenly Father has offered me eternity if I am willing to follow him.

How I live my faith

I try to serve in any way possible.
