Hi I'm Jonathan Nelson Meidell

I enjoy drinking herbal teas, listening to electronica and baroque music, linguistics, and electronics, and I am Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona, lived in California, Utah, and Brazil (Minas Gerais). I like studying other languages and cultures, in particular Northern European and East Asian. I like to read, cook, going to historical sites and parks, mountain-biking, writing music and singing, and playing with electronics.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a habit of having to know why things are the way they are, and so I do question things a lot. I have discovered through study of all the scriptures, (old testament, new testament, the book of Mormon, and modern scriptures; also through archaeological and historical texts), that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints answers the questions that other groups cannot.

How I live my faith

I like helping out in my community by both donating blood platelets and working for the American Red Cross Blood Services. It is an easy and relatively pain free way of giving back to the community, and healthy for you, too. I try to be considerate to all people that I can, and try to think of new ways to make things easier for others.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jonathan Nelson Meidell
I believe God is an unchanging and loving God, and He cares for us enough to send us a prophet today to guide us like he did with Moses, Isaiah, John the Baptist, Peter the apostle, and Paul. It makes sense that God would send us a prophet nowadays to help guide us in a complicated world with some many interpretations of the Bible. Show more Show less
