Hi I'm Brittnie Felix

I love my family. I create using dance, paint, and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My mother taught me to sing as soon as I could talk. She was also adamant when it came to practicing the piano and other musical instruments. I have her to thank for the gift of music in my life. I also began dancing at a young age, and it has become my love. Once I began to grasp the endless possibilities of creating and the artwork of emotion intertwined in dance, I truly felt like for the first time, I could honestly call myself a dancer. My family is extremely important to me. My siblings are my best friends and there is a bond of trust between my parents and I. My family is a great source of strength in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Their parents were members. And their parents were members. Their parents were members. And THEIR parents were members. My family's history is centered in the gospel of Jesus Christ. My great great great great great grandmother joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when she was in England and brought her family across the plains with the Mormon pioneers. They helped settle parts of Southern Utah. Their deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ has lived on in their family as their children choose to follow our Savior. All my life I have been blessed with the knowledge of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, but I am a Mormon because I exercised my agency and chose to follow Christ.

How I live my faith

I simply try to share the light of Christ that I have been given. The Book of Mormon explains that everyone has been given this light. Moroni says that the "Spirit of Christ is given to every man that he may know good from evil." Music helps me share this light. In church, my calling is to sing songs with the nursery age children (18 mo. to three years) and I absolutely LOVE it! I also try to live my life in a way that when people see me, they will see that I have something unique that makes my life truly happy.
