Hi I'm Taylor

Raised in Southern California, and I LOVE the outdoors, anything active. I'm a missionary in the Romania/Moldova mission.

About Me

My name is Taylor. I am one of four children—and am the only girl—with three younger brothers. I love my brothers; they are some of my best friends. My family has become very close to one another over the years. We love to hike and do active things together, as well as just sit and talk with one another. I am from Southern California, and attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah for about two years. I have always been an active person; I love to run, swim, and take pictures. I ran Varsity track and Cross-country in High School. Something I love about photography, running, or swimming in places such as the beach, is they allow me to capture the moments of beauty that lie all around us. I also LOVE to sing. I love everything about it--the challenge of learning a new piece, the calming spirit, happiness, or release of feeling it allows me. When I sing of my Savior, I feel that I know him. Something special happens within me, and I can feel Heaven is very near. I love these feelings, and I love to smile as I sing, so others can feel this love as well, through me.

Why I am a Mormon

I cannot count the number of times I have been asked why I am a Mormon. My responses have included, the gospel of Jesus Christ has and will continue to bring me true happiness forever, or, how could I not be a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I have come to know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is truth. In the past I almost expected angels to come down from heaven holding a big sign which says, “It’s true, it’s really true!” Not surprisingly, this has never happened for me. So how do I know I am a member of the true church of Jesus Christ? I have prayed. I have felt the confirming love and peace sent by my loving Father who is in Heaven. God will answer sincere prayers. The great thing is, nobody needs to rely on the testimony of another to know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true! I didn’t! I prayed, I lived the gospel of Jesus Christ, I prayed more, and I felt God, my loving Father in Heaven telling me it is true! Now, I recognize that I am learning something new about Jesus Christ and his teachings every day, and I receive that same confirmation in my heart and mind that these things are true. And because it is truth, everything makes sense!

How I live my faith

I live my faith. There is so much power in that statement, in what it encompasses. This means that I follow the Savior. This means that I do the little things, as well as the big. I am inspired by the stories of the Savior contained in the New Testament, and his teachings. I love to read of our Savior in the New Testament and The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Christ. I also live my faith by sharing testimony of our Savior and Father in Heaven often. I love my Savior. I love my Father in Heaven. They love each of us, individually. God is mindful of every person; He blesses us; His hand is in our lives each and every day and He even cares about the little things in our lives, like finding our lost keys. I try to live so others can see these things are true.
