Hi I'm Garrett

I have lived in Hawaii, Kansas, Missouri, and Utah. I'm an actor, singer, and enthusiastic hiker. I am a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to help people smile. Hiking, singing, acting and just being me are my most favorite activities and interests. I am the second oldest in a family of 5 children. I graduated from High School in 2011 in Hawaii. I am not aggressive in nature and I do what I can to help everyone to feel accepted. There have been many challenges that I have faced but it always seemed to work out because of the constant effort on turning to Heavenly Father. My family has moved so much and each move has had its challenges, yet, you could see that each had its blessing and it has changed me to who I am today as a son of God and a follower of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

It makes me feel like I am of worth. I grew up attending church services almost every single Sunday and being taught how to live accordingly to Christ's teaching but never truly understanding it until I really started to study and ponder about what I was doing. Over time I started to "feel" and act differently than what I was used to. It was something I had whenever I did something nice for someone or said a nice thing, but it increased with understanding the scriptures better and just living what was taught. I know now that all good things come of God and have found that living it accordingly, through prayer and pondering, has made me so much happier. It takes following God's way, not mans. That is why I am a Mormon. Because I was taught to find out for myself and I am happier than I ever have been because I am myself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by consistently learning about Christ, including it in my daily life and finding as many ways as I can to serve. My most favorite memories of service was when I went with a group to Baja California and delivered a trailer-full of food and supplies to 5 different Mexican orphanages, as well as recently returning home serving two years in Cebu, Philippines as a full-time missionary. I learned a new language called Cebuano and guided people to come unto Christ, to learn and follow His plan of happiness that made the Filipino culture even more enjoyable! I study each day from the scriptures and find something that can apply to my life so that I can bless others lives. I go to church every Sunday to find something new to be learned. Also, I found that one of the best services is telling something nice to someone or just doing something without being asked. I have learned that you can enjoy living it every day when you strive to know that it is true and find that it is!
