Hi I'm Leslie

I am a student at the University of Utah. I love boating and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a student attending the University of Utah and am perusing a degree in chemistry. I have been working in a biophysics lab and have been learning a lot from that experience. I love reading books, jogging, and hiking/walking. A new hobby I have been enjoying is cross country skiing. As a family we enjoy boating and my favorite part is wake boarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but that's not the reason that I still am a Mormon. I've read the Book of Mormon and asked God for myself whether they are truly his words. i received a very peaceful happy feeling in response and I knew that it was the Holy Ghost testifying of the truth and that this is God's church on the earth today. I know that following his example can be difficult, but he will help us if we ask, because God will answer the righteous desires of our hearts, and trying to follow him qualifies. I am so grateful to the Lord for the tender mercies he extends to me everyday. It is a testimony to me that he loves and cares for his children and just wants us to be happy. Everything that God does is for our betterment, even the trials we go through. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ lived and died for our sins. The supreme act of love, the atonement, was completed so that we could return to live with him in peace and joy forever if we will only believe on his name and follow him.

How I live my faith

In my ward i am in the service committee, where we plan activities for the other members in the ward to have a chance to serve. Some of the activities have been helping at the local food bank, collecting food for the food bank, tying blankets, collecting toys for children on reservations, and making hygiene kits. i have really enjoyed the opportunity to go and visit sister's in the ward as their visiting teacher. it's been a great way to make more friends and have the chance to serve more frequently.
