Hi I'm Erik Michael Schofield

Im a big time snowboarder, wakeboarder, flo-rider, missionary, and im a mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and am currently serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been assigned to serve in the Fiji, Suva mission speaking fijian. I will be leaving the missionary training center in a few weeks to move to Fiji. I love to snowboard, do almost every watersport (wakeboarding, wake surfing, flo riding, tubing, etc.) Lake Powell is one of my favorite places on this world. I have grown up on a board (snowboard, wake board, flo board, and now long board) i love playing basketball as well. As a kid i was in a mormon film called "The R.M." it was a great experience for me and really helped me to show off my extremely outgoing self. I went to BYU-Idaho for two semesters before i came out here on a mission and absolutely loved it! I learned way more in two semesters at BYU-I, then I did all throughout high school. I am a proud son of two loving parents and am a brother to incredible brothers and sisters. I am also the proud uncle to one nephew and will be an uncle to a few more by the time i return from my mission in Fiji. I have done very dumb things in life, that gave me a lot of sorrow, I wish i wouldn't have put myself through situations like that. I know that they only things that bring me happiness are my family, friends, awesome memories and my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the mormon church, but that does not mean that i was "converted" into this church at that time. All of us, no matter who we are, no matter if we were born into religion or not, still have to find out what we truly want in life and how we want to live our lives. The reason why I love this church and why i will never leave is because of the people that are a part of this church. I rarely or sometimes never find a member of The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints be mean or cruel towards me. I am loved by so many people and love all i meet. They follow the example of Jesus Christ and serve each other and think of everyone else before themselves. Love and happiness are probably the two most important things to most everyone in this world. We are all looking to be loved and we all want to be happy. Well i have found my way and that is through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I feel incredible every day as i strive to serve others instead of myself and to do what Christ did. I will never ever regret being a part of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grow every day and have grown immensely while being a missionary. I love my community and the people that surround me. I strive every day to find someone to help, or find some oppurtunity to put a smile on someones face. I am putting forth all of my effort to share how i found my happiness with the people i meet. I dont ever let myself get mad at others and am trying my best to love all i come in contact with (Charity=to love everyone, everywhere.) Fighting is not and will never be a part of me. I will not speak badly of others, because when i do i know that i am not loving them like i should. Everyone is a son or daughter of our Heavenly Father and deserves to be loved no matter what they do. I will always forgive no matter what anyone does to me, Jesus Christ forgave all that beat him, mocked him, and tormented him. I strive everyday to become more and more like my Savior, Jesus Christ.
