Hi I'm Paige

I live in Tasmania with my family of 9. I'm a Mormon and would have it no other way.

About Me

I'm Paige and I'm currently studying in year 11/college. I have two older brothers and four younger sisters and am loving life. I love to read and I also love to make things, whether it be a card or a picture or food. I'm hoping to be able to work with disabled children in some capacity of which I'm not yet sure of just quite yet. I'm currently studying maths, english, sociology and psychology as well as a child studies course in college and am trying to love it haha. I'm just an ordinary girl in an ordinary place around ordinary people, but I'm a Mormon and that makes all the difference.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and so have my parents. People often think that people who have grown up in a religion don't choose that life that their parents force it onto them and that they just believe because their parents believe. Yes my parents taught me the Gospel but I've had to find out for myself if it is true, and I tell you now that it is. The happiness that I feel when I live by the God's commandments is a testimony in itself. There is no where I would rather be on a Sunday morning then in church. I follow His Gospel because I love Him and because I love it. I'm not forced into going to church or any other activities that we have and I'm certainly not forced into TRYING each day to live the Gospel. I am a Mormon simply because it makes me happy, it gives me joy and it gives me peace it gives me hope. I know that the Gospel is true and I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who knows me, He knows me better then I know myself. And I know that because of simple answers to my prayers and the overwhelming feeling of the Spirit. I also know that Joseph Smith was a a Prophet and that he translated The Book Of Mormon and that it is true, and I know he established the TRUE Gospel on the earth once again. I know who I am and I know who I can become and I know that the Lord will help me get there. I know that if I do my best then He really will do the rest.

How I live my faith

I'm currently in the youth program it's a lot of fun and I am making long life friends. I'm realising that the older I get the more I notice, the more I understand and the more I know just how far I have to go. I currently write reports on anything that is happening in my Branch to put onto our Stakes blog, so things like activities that we might have or anything fun and/or Spiritually uplifting, just to keep everyone in loop about what is happening. It may sound like and easy task but for me it's not. I have a really bad memory and struggle to remember things. The Lord does that though, gives us a trial or a calling to help us improve our weaknesses. Many people think we get a certain calling because we are doing so well, because we are rolling along doing everything that we are guided to do. In reality, even though in some cases that is true, we also get callings because we need the experience, the trial and the faith to know that the Lord is helping us and the knowledge that if we do our best the Lord will do the rest.
