Hi I'm Kalin

I've lived in Utah my whole life. I'm a student at BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love working on my truck, it's just a little Toyota Pickup truck but it's a hobby for me. I'm always putting new sound systems in it or new colored led lights. I love snowboarding, wake boarding, and longboarding. I do all three a lot with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life, i was raised in a family where the gospel was taught and i'm grateful for that. I believed what my parents taught me about the gospel because i had never been taught anything else. When i turned 18 i decided to read the Book of Mormon front to back and pray to my Heavenly Father and ask Him if these things are true. My church leaders have always invited me to do this, so i finally did. The day i finished reading the Book of Mormon, I drove my truck up into the mountains one evening to think about the things which i had read, and to pray and ask if i was reading the truth. When i got up there i found myself completely alone, so i knelt down and said a prayer to my Father in Heaven. When i completed my prayer i sat in my truck just thinking, thinking about what i had learned while reading the book. The sun started to go down and it turned the sky into a beautiful sunset. While looking into that sunset i was suddenly filled with the spirit. I had never felt the spirit this strongly before and it was an amazing experience. At that exact moment, i knew that this church is true, that the Book of Mormon was true and that everything i had been taught was true. My beliefs had turned into knowledge, i was filled with such joy that i had never before experienced, and i knew at that moment that this church is the only was to learn true joy. That is why i am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My ward is amazing. Everyone is so friendly to one another and helps each other through their struggles. I have a calling to serve the primary, i love teaching the little ones about our Savior. I try to fulfill my calling the best i can, as well as keep the commandments. I'm not perfect, there are times i struggle, but i know the Lord is on my side and is always reaching out to me. I'm grateful for the opportunity my Savior has given me to repent. I owe Him everything.
