Hi I'm Mikaila

I am a cosmetologist. I am a missionary in the Washington Spokane Mission and I'm a mormon =D

About Me

I love making music, crafts, and cooking. Most of all I love my family. I graduated from Ponderosa high school in 2012 and I immediately started Cosmetology school. I graduated a year later and went right to work at Sportclips to earn money for a full time mission. I am now serving in the Washington Spokane mission and LOVING IT!!! The Gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me and I am so happy to share it with everyone that I see.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been so blessed to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my home since birth. I have been taught important truths by my family, friends, and all of those who I meet in church but it was up to me to have faith and accept this truth. My faith and testimony has grown more and more as I have gotten older. When I was 14 I decided to share the simple testimony that I had as often as I could. That year I grew in faith that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is the Lords church through the immense emotions of love and peace that entered my hear. My faith is challenged on a regular basis so I have really had to keep my self in check through prayer and scripture study. I am aware that there are many other beautiful religions of the world and I appreciate the dedication of those people. However, I know with my whole heart that the Book of Mormon is true and that Thomas S. Monson is God's living mouthpiece today. That's why I am a mormon :)

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is our exemplar so I do my best every to be like Him. I often fall short and that is why I am so grateful for the opportunities to grow through serving others within the community. About a year ago I was called to serve the Lord full time in the Washington Spokane mission. It's so rewarding to go out everyday and talk to people about true happiness through Christ! Some of my favorite moments have been getting down and dirty in muddy yard service. Whatever form service takes it is always a great opportunity for growth on both the giving and receiving end.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Mikaila
A testimony is the knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel. An individual's testimony grows as they feel a spiritual witness from the Holy Spirit that what they are taught is true. Show more Show less
