Hi I'm Jessie Beck!

I'm a missionary in Florida and I LOVE spreading the good news with people. 'JUST HAVE FAITH' is my motto. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a missionary in the Florida Tampa Mission inviting people to hear this great news about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I absolutely LOVE it. I was born and raised as a Mormon in Utah, USA. I love the outdoors and doing everything from hiking to mountain biking, fishing to hunting, and just being in the mountains with my family. I've grown a lot closer to my Savior as I've served a mission. I'm striving everyday to develop Christlike attributes. I am trying not to expect myself to be perfect, but it's a constant battle. I love being active and playing sports! Especially running, soccer, and collegiate rugby. My athleticism and talents used to define who I was, but now they are just appendages to who I really am. I'm a daughter of God and I have great potential. My family means EVERYTHING to me. I'm the oldest of 3 kids and we have so much fun being together. I have a little sister who is prettier than I am, and a younger brother who is currently doing the same thing as I am: serving a mission in Japan. We're both serving the Lord as representatives of Jesus Christ on opposite sides of the globe--and my family has never felt more unified. Someday I want to raise a family. I'm preparing now by strengthening myself, and I'll go back to school after my service is over. I've definitely learned that we just have to TRUST IN GOD and JUST HAVE FAITH. He is my rock and my salvation and I know that I can be happy today and every day because of HIM.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel like every day I'm accomplishing what God wants me to accomplish. Having that comfort brings me indescribable peace. I know that God speaks to a prophet today and we can look to him for counsel and advice. I know we have the Book of Mormon because it testifies of truth that is specifically for us, here, in the 21st century. I know that families can be together forever through the power of the priesthood and I'm so blessed to have a family that is so strong, even though physically we're all around the world. I grew up a member of this church, but it's not just a church; it's a way of living. And I personally know it's the way of living that God wants me to be doing. As I keep His commandments and obey His laws I will be blessed and my family will be blessed. This is not just a wonderful religion, it's the Savior's gospel and I'm so grateful to have the peace and comfort that comes from trying to walk as He walked and do as He did.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday as a missionary by everything I do. I study the scriptures, including the King James version of the Bible, every morning and I try to talk with everyone to see who is willing to listen to this message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Everyday I invite people to come unto Christ by helping them receive His restored gospel. I interact with a lot of people everyday teaching and serving others. I live my faith by serving all of God's children, no matter their circumstance or background. I love helping everyone find joy in the little things of life. I don't judge people, I try to see them the way our Savior sees them. He loves everyone and I'm striving to have that same charity, Christ-like love, for all of God's children.
