Hi I'm Rebecca Rosenlof

I'm a writer. I'm a student. I'm a child of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a dessert and therefore love green in all forms (except for plastic grass--it's a thing). At the age of twenty I was called to serve a mission in the Belgium/Netherlands mission. I served from May 2013-October 2014. It was truly the best eighteen months of my life, and I see blessings from my mission every single day, not the least is the many friendships I have built up. As I grew up I became rather obsessed with telling stories, and thus my love for writing was born. I have written several books (though none are published; I simply enjoy writing) and have plans for many more. While I love writing, it is just the beginning of my hobbies. I am a self defense instructor for the R.A.D. program and enjoy teaching women to defend themselves. I enjoy seeing the confidence that comes when a woman can take care of and defend herself. I enjoy playing the flute and piano. Music is something that is a very big part of my testimony. I feel that it is in song that testimonies can be fortified. My current major at BYU-Idaho is Professional Writing with an emphasis in Criminology. I am very passionate about making sure that things are fair; that everyone has the opportunity to receive justice and mercy according to their acts. I have come to realize that my life is far from over. It is just beginning. I am excited to see what else the Lord has in store for me, and I plan on following his design so I can reach the highest potential that he sees in me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the spirit of my God resonate with my soul whenever I read the scriptures and study the words of the Prophets. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I can return to live with my Father in Heaven as long as I try to be righteous!

How I live my faith

I go to church every week and know that by taking the sacrament I can become a better person, one that is more and more like my Savior Jesus Christ. I try to be charitable to others around me by showing them the redeeming love of Christ.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Rebecca Rosenlof
No, but it is strongly encouraged that all worthy young men, when they reach the age of 19 (or more recently 18) serve. For young women, it is not a requirement, but a great asset to the Church when they do serve. I have the great opportunity to serve mission in the Belgium/Netherlands mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less
