Hi I'm Peggy

I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been a member for 25 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired. I came to Arizona from a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, where I lived most of my life. I am divorced and have two grown daughters. My busiest hobby right now is family history. I have a dog named Molly and a cat named Kitty. I have a Grandfather and an Uncle who are Protestant ministers. I am the only Mormon in my immediate family. I went to college for almost two years, majoring in Biology.

Why I am a Mormon

I had been praying for some weeks to ask Heavenly Father if there was a Church on the earth that was his real church, with a gospel that was true. I prayed that somehow he would show it to me and I would know it was true. Three missionaries came to my door. I watched a video about Joseph Smith and we had some discussions about the Church. I knew I was learning of a great work the Lord was asking me to do. I knew He had answered my prayer. I was Baptized about 4 weeks later. I have been in 3 wards and the Mormons are the most faithful, honest, and loving people on earth. I have a testimony that this Church is lead by Jesus Christ himself and the priesthood is restored on the earth again in the latter days so that we can help prepare for Jesus's second coming. There are prophets on the earth again as in ancient times, and I have personally witnessed miracles that I know are from the power of Jesus Christ, His Father in heaven and The Holy Ghost. I know how important is to work on family history and go to the temple of The Lord so that I can be with my family for eternity. I know the Book of Mormon is as true as the Bible, and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ, his ministry, and his resurection.

How I live my faith

I have had several callings in my 25 years as a member of the Church. I have been a music conductor for the children, worked in the nursery, taught the gospel to 7 year-old children, and conducted music for our Women's meetings. I still try to sing with the choir when I'm feeling strong enough.
