Hi I'm Caitlin Dudley

I love people. I strive to live a happy and joyful life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am called to the Canada Toronto mission, Spanish speaking, and I am currently preparing to go out into the field. I decided to serve a mission, because as I prayed and prayed about it, I kept on getting feelings and reassurances that I should definitely go. Now that I am in the process of preparing to get out in the field, I am sure that this is where the Lord needs me to be. I love living my life with joy, and trying to tell other people about this joy. I have felt insecurities about sharing my testimony, but I believe that with the help of Christ, I can definitely be bold in the sharing of my beliefs. The spirit can talk to us and to others in a way that nobody esle can. I have a firm testimony of it! I love this gospel and can't wait to help others to love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being happy. I believe that really, the only thing that can bring me joy in this life is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have always believed in the gospel, but it was always because of my parents telling me that I should, and that the gospel was true. I didn't gain a true testimony until I came to college and had to live on my own, figuring things out for myself. Something that I have really learned, is that when we ask God for something with a pure heart and real intent, he will give it to us. When we align our will with God's will, we are living righteously. If we ask for things that God already wants to give us, we know that we are living the way that He would want us to live. The gospel makes me happy. I notice a difference when I am not giving my all to the gospel. When we give Him our all, He knows that we are humbling ourselves enough to ask for his help. Humility leads to blessings, and I know that I love receiving blessings from my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing my testimony to the people in my life. I love knowing that Jesus Christ is my brother, and I want others to know that. Whenever I find a scripture that I think could apply to others, as well in my own life, I want to share it. I am so grateful that the Lord has given me this desire, because without this desire, I don't feel like I would have a purpose. When we bear our testimonies to others, they grow. Every time I share my testimony with people, I feel my love of the Savior grow. I love seeing people's testimonies grow. I love seeing the light in their eyes, when they know that something is true... When they realize that their father in Heaven loves them.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Caitlin Dudley
Joseph Smith was a boy born in the 1800s, at the time of religious excitement. At the age of 14, he wondered which church was the true church, and read in James 1:5 that if any man lacked wisdom, let him ask of God. He received an answer to his prayer through a vision from God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and was told that none of the churches were correct. At the age of 17, he began to receive messages from angels, that he would translate what would be called "The Book of Mormon". Through many persecutions, Josoph Smith never faltered, and was the first prophet of the restoration. He was a tremendous man with miraculous amounts of courage. Show more Show less
