Hi I'm Amy Christensen

I love basketball, I love being outdoors, I love the Gospel, and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

Hello!!! I am Amy! I am from the amazing and beautiful state of Oregon! I love the west coast and all the nature there!! Some of my favorite hobbies are basketball, hiking, and spending time with my family! I have two older Sisters who are my role models and best friends! I am currently serving a mission in the Kansas Wichita mission and am so excited to be able to be here serving the Lord in His vineyard!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know it is true. Nothing in my life has brought me more happiness, joy and comfort then this true gospel of Jesus Christ. And I know as I continue to live worthily of the blessings that this gospel gives I will continue to be happy, joyful, and comforted. Both of my parents are full time members, so I grew up in this church and have been surrounded by its safety and protection. But I did not know or realize how lucky I was until around my junior year of high school when I started to face some tough challenges in my life. I had to lean on my Savior, and Heavenly Father to help me through it, and eventually to forgive and forget. Without the help of my Savior Jesus Christ I would not of been able to do this, and I felt his love all around me as I overcame one of my trials. I understood then, that there were going to be many more hardships that I would have to face, and that I may not know what or when they are going to be. But because of my faith, I have no reason to fear, because I have a heavenly Father who loves me, and His son, Jesus Christ, who loves me so much he died for me. I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is taking it one day at a time and "trying a little harder to be a little better." Every day I strive to follow the example that my Savior has set for me; to become like Him. I know that through this gospel is the only way I can truly become like our older brother. As I take on life's challenges I take it with a smile, because I know with the help of Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ I can overcome any challenge the world throws my way!
