Hi I'm April

I grew up on the east coast of the United States. I've attended 2 semesters at BYU in Idaho. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I'm really outgoing and loves athletics. I've been playing the sport of soccer since I was 8. My dad is from Guatemala and my mom is from Corning, New York. I attend Brigham Young University in Idaho and am a sophomore. I just recently was called to serve as a missionary for the church. I'll start in May.

Why I am a Mormon

Like a lot of my friends I was born in the church. I grew up learning and repeating lessons every Sunday without really thinking about it. All my life I had felt like there was something missing. I had all the keys but didn't know how to work or use them yet. It wasn't until this past year when I realized I needed a huge change in my. Mostly regarding attitude and my view on things. I was the one preventing myself from happiness and no one else. The atonement is what changed and ultimately finished my conversion to the truthfulness of this gospel. My mistakes made me see a lot of what I did seem hopeless. I knew I had to change. Fully using the gospel and realizing my need for Christ and to let him in and change me was the hardest and most amazing moment in my life. I am so happy. I see things in a whole new light and it is all because of the sacrifice my savior made for me and the role it plays in the great plan for our salvation and true happiness.

How I live my faith

Currently I have no church callings, but I think that my calling as all of is is to simply help and uplift others. It's the small and simple things that help us accomplish the great things.
