Hi I'm Hailey Watt

I'm a first year teacher in a 3rd grade classroom. I love to binge watch TV shows. I'm incredibly sassy & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I served a mission in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I'm from Idaho where I was born and raised. I come from a family of five with an older brother and a younger sister. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I have a strong love for young people and am studying Elementary Education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am teaching in a 3rd Grade Classroom at a school in Provo. The number one thing I want in my life is to have a family of my own. I take my role as future mother very seriously and love the joy the children have to offer. My favorite thing to do on a Friday night is snuggle up on the couch with a blanket and watch a favorite movie. I absolutely love laughing and do it often. I have a sassy personality. I love listening to music and taking long walks where I can enjoy nature. I know I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father. I hope by my example and love for other people, I can share the love Heavenly Father has for His children.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had a lot of struggles in my lifetime. When I was just 15 I was diagnosed with a disease that changed my life forever. I was told that I may not have the ability to have children of my own. I was in a regular amount of pain, and frankly I was angry with God for giving me this trial. I really struggled with my faith in Jesus Christ. Eventually as I pondered and prayed to my Heavenly Father, I started coming back and realizing that this Church was completely true. I knew that this trial I was facing would only make me stronger. I knew that the best way to overcome it was to keep my Heavenly Father close by my side. Through this I began to have a strong love for this Church and knew that this is where I was supposed to be. Over the years, my testimony has grown stronger and stronger through personal prayer, attending church, and reading the Word of God. I have experienced the amazing power of the Atonement. I know Jesus Christ died for me personally. Because of that, I never have to be alone. I love my Savior and my Father in Heaven. I feel the love they have for me everyday of my life. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I like to do anything that has to do with service. I love being around people and this gives me the opportunity to help those around me. I try to live my life as if Jesus Christ were right there with me. I want to love and serve my fellowmen so that they may too have a love of Christ. The LDS Church is a community that provides you with an opportunity to get to know the people you worship with. I love having this opportunity to meet people and serve them. I enjoy talking to people about their lives and gaining a new perspective on people who were raised differently than I was. I have really grown to love every one I come into contact with because I know they too are children of Heavenly Father. I have gained a deep understanding of the Atonement and how I can apply that in my life. As I have developed a relationship with my Heavenly Father, and Savior, Jesus Christ, I have a greater understanding of the eternal plan of happiness and my worth and role as a daughter of God.
