Hi I'm Krystal

I was born in California but I grew up in Utah and Texas. I am a missionary in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in California, Utah, Texas, and the Virginia/DC area. Traveling is one of my favorite escapes. I love almost anything outdoors, I play the flute, and love spending time on and off stage while participating in theater. I have four siblings who live all over the country. I am a missionary in the Mississippi Jackson mission speaking Portuguese (I had been a visa waiter up until recently when my visa was cancelled). I LOVE being a missionary. There is no better way to serve the Lord than to help others come unto Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, but I, like everyone, still had to go through the decision process of whether I had a testimony or not. My father died when I was young and based on my childhood experiences with that, I knew that God was real. My struggle came when I had to figure out if the LDS church was the true gospel and that the Book of Mormon was real. I feel like I always knew it was, but I wanted to make sure that I wasn't believing just because it is all I've known. While in High School I visited several friends churches and listened to what they believed. I realized that I never felt the same spirit as I did when I went to my church. I also came to know that many other churches/beliefs have portions of the truth, but the LDS church has the full restored gospel. Its like a puzzle, many churches have pieces of the puzzle but the LDS church has all the pieces together forming the full picture. Through a lot of reading the scriptures and praying I now know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that we truly have the Restored Gospel on Earth today.

How I live my faith

I try to help others whenever I can. We are all children of God and I want to treat others the same way Christ would. I strive everyday to become more like Christ, through my actions, study and work. Both Christ and God love us and want us to come unto them. I try to live every moment of my life coming unto Christ.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

We know without a doubt that this church is true. Because we know that, we want to share it with everyone who is willing to listen. We want others to come to know of the same knowledge that we have about the truth of Christs restored gospel on the earth today. If you see a missionary or one knocks on your door, listen to what they have to say, its important. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

The church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is Christs restored gospel on earth today. When Christ established his church he established Lay ministry (no one was paid for their work). If that was the way Christ wanted and established it, why would he not establish it in that way again when his Gospel is restored? Also when we are not paid for our work, we learn to truly love the work and the people we serve. Show more Show less
