Hi I'm Landon Jones

I'm a student at Brigham Young University, I love the Utah Jazz, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being active and playing sports and doing outside activities such as camping and hiking. I am a student at Brigham Young University where I'm studying Public Relations. I am a huge NBA fan and love to go see the Utah Jazz play whenever I get the chance. I'm the middle child in my family and love them all very much. I served a two year mission in Mexico City and loved every minute of it. Currently, I work as a Business Analyst for doTERRA while going to school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This does not mean that I didn't have a choice of what church to join. When I was eight years old I made the decision by myself to be baptized and become a member. My parents let me decide for myself if I wanted to be baptized or not. I am a Mormon because I know this church is true. I have felt the influence of the Holy Ghost testify to me that truths and doctrines of this church are eternal. I am a Mormon because being a member of this church makes me happy. I don't know of a more happy people than members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This gospel changes lives and I have personally seen lives changed as they receive the truths of this church. I know that if I keep the commandments, repent of my sins, and keep all of the covenants that I have made with the Lord, I can someday return to live with him again with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

My faith is seen in the way that I live my life. I attend church meetings weekly, and I am involved in church activities throughout the week as well. I attend the temple on a regular basis and these weekly temple trips bring me great joy. I have served in several youth leadership positions and callings where I have had the opportunity and privilege to serve other members of my ward and community. Through my thoughts, words, and actions, I try to always set an example for all of those around me by striving to live the attributes that Jesus Christ taught and lived throughout his time here on earth. I listen to and obey the words of our living prophet Thomas S. Monson. I know that he is a man called of God and that he speaks the words of God. I obey all the commandments that we have been given including the Word of Wisdom and law of Chastity. I try and live a modest life where I look for opportunities to serve others. Everyone is going to make mistakes and because of that, our Savior gave his life to atone for the sins of all mankind. This great atonement only works if we will repent of our sins and have a change of heart. I try to avoiding sinning as much as possible, but when I do mess up and sin, I repent of my sins and allowing the healing power of the atonement to wash my sins away. How I live my faith can be summed up in one simple sentence. I'm trying to be like Jesus.
