Hi I'm Dean

I'm a college student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to golf, make movies, and play XBOX. I also like to watch movies, spend time with my family, and go on vacation. My favorite place in the world is Maui, Hawaii. I am an Eagle Scout and I go to college. I want to be an actuary.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My family has gone to this church for my whole life. With that said, I had to gain a testimony of the gospel for myself. I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true and I received the answer that it was. With this foundational testimony, everything else about the Restoration falls into place. Besides this experience, I have had many others in which I felt the Holy Ghost so powerfully that I could not deny the truth. One of the greatest blessings of my life was the opportunity that I had to serve a full-time mission. It was the greatest educational experience of my life. I learned so much about God, myself, and life in general. I gained a greater perspective and saw how to gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to true happiness in life. I know that this is the only true and living church on the face of the earth. I felt God's love as I served the people of my mission and rejoiced in their progress to learn and live the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I enjoy living the restored gospel of Jesus Christ simply because it helps me feel more at peace. I know what my relationship to God is and I know how to strengthen that relationship. By living the teachings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, you can feel closer to Heavenly Father, appreciate the atonement of Jesus Christ more, and feel the companionship of the Holy Ghost in your life.

How I live my faith

I have felt for a long time that the way that you live your life is a reflection of your inner faith. I pray daily, morning and night, and study daily from the scriptures. I attend church on Sundays and I am currently serving in a voluntary Sunday school teacher position. I try to attend the temple once per week as well. My faith also effects the way that I think and speak. I strive to think more positively, speak a little more kindly, and be a little bit better everyday.
