Hi I'm Kayla B.

I'm always smiling, I love to sing, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Kayla B., I have recently become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a Vocal Music Education major at Southeastern Louisiana University. I love singing SO MUCH I can't even put it into words! Smiling, laughing, and just being happy around everyone and in everything I do is how I keep myself sane. I am very thankful for my awesome family, and friends; and for all the people I have come to know and love throughout my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon...that's a loaded question...Having been a person with no knowledge of this church, I would like to believe that I am Mormon because it's a lifestyle and religion that heavenly father gave me a chance to know and choose at this specific time in my life. It was something I took in with an open heart, and mind. I had never in my life felt the wonderful love of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost so incredibly strong until I stepped foot into an LDS church. I always ask myself why this is, but I know it's because I stepped in and pondered with real intent wanting to know. I even cried...uncontrollably because I was so happy to have found such a wonderful feeling. There was no turning back after that. I was ready to know more, and further my interest in the church. I won't lie and say that the steps I had to take along the way were easy, because there were many questions, ups, downs, and doubts along the way. It's not supposed to be simple there was and will always be many bumps in the road as you go on. With the love and support of wonderful missionaries, members of the church, and lots PRAYERS I came to know the truth of the gospel, everything that goes along with it, and was baptized. This is a lifelong journey that I am incredibly blessed to partake of, and I can't wait to see what Heavenly Father has in store my future, and for my testimony to increase even more! There is so much love in the church, and I have learned so much, met so many great people and made great friends that I will always have a place for in my heart. This is where I BELONG. (:

How I live my faith

FAITH is my all time favorite word. I can't wait until I have my first daughter because I am going to give her a name with so much meaning...Faith! I live my faith by allowing the seed that has been planted in my heart to grow. Once you think you know it all, there is always more to learn. Reading the scriptures, going to church, going to institute or any kind of class, and watching talks are all great ways I live and grow my faith. I truly believe the only way to move forward and keep your sense of faith, you have to WANT to. Live it, and love it!
