Hi I'm Paul

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I live in kind of a small town in Oregon here super close to Washington, my Dad is a state trooper and my Mom is a nurse at a local hospital, so I know pretty well what it's like to be left in charge all the time. I have two younger siblings, a brother and a sister, and that can be pretty tough but not bad at all. I just finished a semester at BYU-I, and I loved it, school is awesome. I'm majoring in psychology at the moment, with the end outcome of becoming a Detective, since police work has been almost as important as the Church in my life. Both works are just as important to me, and the lives of others! I know what it's like to go to a Highschool where there is nothing to do on the weekends, and how super boring that can be. I will be serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I will be serving in the Neuquen, Argentina mission speaking spanish. :) I'm just a regular guy that's had a lot of similar problems to everybody else who aren't members, just like everybody else.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because its true. All of the teachings are true, and I know it. That's why, it's a very simple answer but it's the right answer. I know there is truth in many things, but I know that all truth comes from God, I have gone to Him in sincere prayer, with intent to act upon the promptings I would receive. I felt the spirit testify to my soul that this was the correct church, from that moment on I couldn't ever go back. I don't have a huge conversion story, nothing epic happened in my life to let me know this church was true, I only had a willing heart to seek after truth that's it. I found answer that I could not dispute, the spirit left such a imprint in my soul I could not deny it. That's why Im a Mormon, plain and simple, I got an answer, I knew it was true, and I acted on it.

How I live my faith

I had a good friend of mine ask me if I knew that Jesus Christ was my personal Savior and that He died for me. I said I yes I knew that that, and ever since then I've tried to live how he would want me to live. I know that if we know about what Jesus Christ has done for us we should act on it and always look for truth to continually better ourselves in everything we do which is what I've been working towards in my life. In church, I teach the oldest youth class we have and it isn't always easy to do, but I absolutely love it. I love teaching the simple truths of the gospel because they are truly sweet. I go about my daily life studying, and preparing for my mission so I'm constantly in the scriptures learning as much as I can. I try to emulate the teachings of Jesus Christ in my life and helping those who might need my help where ever I go, and just being a person that some one would like to get to know. I realize that there aren't many people left in the world who are just nice, and that's what I think Jesus would have us do, so I try to be, just a nice person.
