Hi I'm Connor

I Love the outdoors, cars, and working hard. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am serving a mission in Dallas Texas, and I love it here! I love the outdoors, and doing things such as hunting, fishing, boating, skiing. I also love sports my favorites are basketball, golf, and bowling! I am also a major car buff, and love anything to do with a motor and wheels.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but I found out for myself that it is the only true church and it has blessed my life greatly.

How I live my faith

I was blessed enough to grow up in the church and be raised by two great parents to help and support me, I went through the young mens program and also the scouting program and really enjoyed it! I became great friends with others that are very strong in the church as well and that really helped my life stay on the right path. It took a few years into my teenage years until I truly decided to sit down and read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and find out if it really was another testament of Jesus Christ and if it was true. And as I did so, after reading it I prayed about it just like the Prophet Moroni directed to do. And in return I got my answer through the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet and that we also have a Prophet on the Earth today. I also made the decision to serve a full time mission! I served in the Texas Dallas Mission and it was the best decision I have ever made. It was amazing to me to see the gospel change so many lives. I can 100% say that I believe in miracles because I just saw too many to count, especially why I was serving a mission.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Connor
With Joseph Smith, it all started when he was a 14 year old boy living in Palmyra New York at the time. He was living in an era of time where the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was not on the Earth. Joseph was not aware of that. There were many Churches and Religions where he lived and they all claimed to be the one that was true. Joseph Smith really wanted to know which one was really true, so he attended several of them and tried to find out for himself. He then one night was reading in the Epistle of James in the Bible, which says "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God". That scripture really touched him because he lacked wisdom on which Church was right. So one Spring morning he knelt down in prayer in a Grove of Trees asking God what he should do. Then an amazing thing happened, God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him to join none of the Churches. They said "For they draw close to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me". Then throughout time, Joseph Smith was then called of God to be the next Prophet ( just like Moses, or Abraham ). Then through Jesus Christ to Joseph Smith the Fullness of the Gospel was again Restored to the Earth, the same Church that Jesus Christ Himself set up why we was on the Earth is back in its fullness, and was promised to never leave the Earth again.
