Hi I'm Abbigail Clements

I'm a Utah Girl. My favorite color is yellow. I live for awkward moments, and I love to make people laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, I am serving in the Texas San Antonio Mission. The best mission in the world!! When I am at home, I am just your typical young college student. I wake up early every day and sit through my classes. I have been involved with competitive soccer 12 years of my life. I started as a varsity outside wing for my high school team and I played on a premier club team after my high school seasons. My whole family competes on different club teams, and we support each other by going to each other's games and tournaments. I also love to boat! I was raised on the water and I love being on the lake. My family can swim, tube, wake board, and sit out in the sun all day. My favorite family vacations are the ones that are spent out on the Lake. One thing that really defines me is my laugh and my silliness. The world would be a sad place if you didn't learn how to laugh at yourself once in a while. I take pride in my sense of humor! I am just a normal girl who competes in soccer, loves to boat, and who can laugh at the silly things in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel gives me a happiness that I can't find anywhere else. There is an indescribable peace that I feel when I talk about the church and when I read The Book of Mormon. I may not know every little detail about the church and sometimes I even zone out, but I know in my heart that it is the truth and that it is the Lord's true Church restored for these latter days. This life is so short when you compare it to forever. If I live the best life I can here on earth, then I am able to receive the eternal gifts from God. By being a Mormon, I am promised to be with my family for eternity, and, to me, that promise is the greatest gift anyone could receive. One day, I too will have the opportunity to get married in one of God's Temples and experience the gift of eternal families with my (future) husband. I love this Gospel. I know that Christ died for my sins, and that he knows me as an individual and personally. I know that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. I also know that Joseph Smith was called of God to be a Prophet. The blessings that come from this gospel are beautiful and pure, and I am proud to be member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I show that I am a Mormon by acting on what I believe. In the scriptures and through the prophet, God gives us commandments, and I try my best to follow all of them. Obviously I am not perfect and I make mistakes, but I recognize when I do make those mistakes. By recognizing my mistakes, I learn from them and I change to become a better person than who I was before. I believe that God gave me a body as a gift, and, for that reason, I take care of my body by not drinking, smoking, or by taking any addictive substance. Also, because I am a daughter of God, I wear modest fashionable clothing that shows respect to both myself and to my Heavenly Father. I also feel that when men see me in modest clothing, they see me as a person instead of an object. I go to church every Sunday, and I read my scriptures every night (even if it is just a few verses). I am envolved with my church, and I participate in youth activities. I love this Gospel and I try my best to stand for what I believe in. I want to live a life that my Heavenly Father will be proud of.
