Hi I'm Autumn

I grew up in Raymond, WA. I am a nineteen year old registered nurse and I love dancing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and have been attending Brigham Young University - Idaho since I was 16. I graduated earlier this summer with my Associates of Science in Nursing and I am now a registered nurse. I am the oldest of eight children and I love to be with my family. I recently received my mission call to serve in the Chile Santiago West Mission reporting to the Provo Missionary Training Center on January 30, 2013. I will serve for a period of 18 months. I love to dance, sing, play the piano, laugh, and talk to people. I feel like there is so much that I can learn from others and everyone has their own story. I love nature and taking long hikes up into the mountains. I love just making the most out of every day and loving life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the church is true. I have learned this through careful study of the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and modern day revelation from prophets that the Lord has called in the Latter-days. I have learned this through sincere prayer and trusting in my Heavenly Father's will. I am a Mormon because I feel no greater joy than when I diligently strive to keep the commandments that my Heavenly Father has given me through the gospel of Jesus Christ and that is what my church believes in. I am a Mormon because in a declaration of our faith in the 13th article of faith it reads, "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men...if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report, or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." These words strongly touch my heart because I know that this is what I want, I want to serve my Heavenly Father and I want to be happy. This is why I am a Mormon, because I know it's true with everything I am and it brings great joy into my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others around me and loving them. I do my best to see every person I encounter as a child of God and I strive to love them the way He loves them. I am very grateful that I have the opportunity to serve a mission for my church because I will be able to completely devote my life to my Heavenly Father by focusing on His work and His children. I know that Heavenly Father is mindful of all of His children. I pray daily that I might be led so that I can answer the prayers of His children. I live my faith by being willing to be an instrument in my Heavenly Father's hands here upon the earth.
