Hi I'm Jessica

I'm an adventuress. I love to travel and experience new cultures! I love being outdoors and exploring the world! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the kind of person who loves being outdoors. Whether it is playing sports, hiking, biking, camping...you name it, I just find any excuse to be outside (especially when it is warm out). I love service opportunities. Whenever I am having a hard time, I know that I can feel better if I do some service for others. I love spending time and playing with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that believed in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We attended church every Sunday and that is how I gained my basic knowledge of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I knew that I liked going to church, I liked the way I felt and the things I was learning. However, it wasn't until high school when I finally really felt like I gained a testimony of the truth of these things for myself. An event occurred in my family that shook my faith a little bit. Made me wonder whether or not this was the true Church of Jesus Christ. As these questions entered my heart, I decided that I needed to find an answer. For many months I studied and pondered over the scriptures and prayed to my Father in Heaven for an answer. I went to church every week and was diligent in my pursuit to find answers to my questions. One night after I had finished my scripture study, I knelt down in prayer. As soon as I addressed my Father in Heaven, feelings of peace, love, and joy washed over me. I knew that God was there listening to my prayer and telling me that He loved me. I continued my prayer and the spirit confirmed to me that this was indeed His true church. That Christ lives and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that God lives and He loves us. He is here and answers our prayers. Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the World. He has made it possible for me to be cleansed from sin and return to live with my Father in Heaven after this life. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and through the guidance of the Lord, he restored Christ's church to the earth with priesthood authority. I know this is true because of the confirmation I felt that night and continue to feel as I remember and continue my conversion.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by serving others and being a friend to everyone. I strive to always be prepared to share the gospel with those in whom I come in contact. I had always had the desire to serve a mission. I would help the sisters who served in my hometown as much as I could! Once I was old enough, I was privileged to serve a full-time mission in Russia. It was a fantastic and beautiful experience! And now that I'm back, I strive to be a member-missionary. I want people to know of the peace and happiness that can come from the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I strive to live in such a way that people who know me but don't know Him, will want to know Him because they know me.
