Hi I'm Sean

I'm a university student studying Spanish with aspirations to one day become a lawyer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a university student studying Spanish. One day I'd like to earn a law degree and become a lawyer. I enjoy learning, reading, writing, being outdoors, singing, skiing, camping, listening to music, dating, and being with my family. I grew up in Illinois and later moved to Utah when I was fourteen years old. When I was nineteen, I spent two years living in Honduras preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping others strengthen their relationship with God. The favorite part of my day is whenever I get to talk with my family, be around good friends, or help someone who is having a hard time. Though I am often busy, I enjoy taking time to pray, study the scriptures, and listen for God's voice.

Why I am a Mormon

Very early in life I was blessed with faith in Heavenly Father and in our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that God is our father and that He loves all of His children. Though I have had trying, even devastating trials and experiences in life, I have witnessed how time and again our loving Father in Heaven always helps me through them. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. To me that means that I can overcome my shortcomings, wrongdoings, and weaknesses through his help. I also know that by his power I can one day return to live in his presence and in the presence of Heavenly Father if I try my best to follow his example. I have felt God's love in indescribable ways and at various times in my life. These feelings have often come in response to sincere prayer and a true desire to know that He lives, that He loves me, and that what I'm doing is pleasing to him. Though I fall incredibly short of the standard of perfection raised by Jesus Christ himself, I know that through his help I can do all things. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints helps me as I try to be more like Jesus. It's leaders help me as I try to learn more about him and emulate his example. I have found no greater joy than being a follower of Jesus Christ as a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I actively try each day to become a little bit more like Jesus Christ. Though it can be hard, I try to make time to pray, study the scriptures, and listen to God's voice in my life. I know that in order to follow Jesus Christ's example, I must try to help those around me. I find joy and happiness in giving service, offering a hand, or returning a smile, sometimes to those I know, and sometimes to those who I don't. As a nineteen year-old, I spent two years serving the people of Honduras, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and helping them strengthen their relationship with God. I now work among and with other nineteen year-old young men and young women helping them prepare to go out into the world to do the same. I find no greater fulfillment than in helping others grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. On Sundays, I attend church meetings where I participate in singing, praying, teaching, and being taught with other churchgoers. I spend time with my family, for which I am so grateful and whom I love so much.
