Hi I'm Tamara

I am a mom. I'm the first member of my family. I spent my childhood barefoot on Maui. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy stay at home mom of three! I love creating new beautiful things out of the old and unused, especially buttons! I have moved around A LOT and love to experience new adventures with my little family.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel has followed me! I had close friends when I was younger that were Mormon. I was raised Methodist and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, but something was missing. Heavenly Father knew what he was doing and He put people around me to teach me bits of the gospel through out my life. When I was twenty, I felt a fire inside me to get some of my questions answered and really start the life it seemed Heavenly Father wanted for me all along! I took the lessons for months and gave the missionaries a work out, but I knew being baptized would change my life...and it did! I couldn't imagine my life without the gospel, with out the knowledge of the atonement and the plan of salvation! The gospel gives you confidence because you know where you came from and where you are going...that makes a huge difference to your life!

How I live my faith

Our family loves a party, any kind...any excuse to have our house filled with friends and family, smiles and laughter! So I suppose it is fitting that I am in charge of organizing events and activities for the women in our ward! My husband is the ward mission leader and we hold game nights at our home with all the lovely new people that come to our church...the kids love it...we all do! As a family, we pray for opportunities to help and serve others and have been blessed by doing this, whether it be just giving a ride, providing a meal, organizing a charity event or giving a friend a place to live for awhile. We teach our children that when we make someone happy, we are making Jesus happy!
