Hi I'm Steven

I live in the United States. I am currently a college student and am preparing to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a citizen of the United States of America. I have lived in Utah for most of my life. I know how to play both the piano and the trombone. I was involved in the Davis High School band program throughout my high school years. I believe education is very important. I am currently attending Brigham Young University as a college freshman. I am considering majoring in political science and plan to attend law school. I will soon leave to serve an Mormon mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I enjoy reading, going to movies, following professional sports, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and playing video games. I love my country and am very patriotic.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a member of the Church, and continue to follow its teachings to this day. Being a Mormon has blessed me with the knowledge of where I came from, what I'm doing here, and where I'm going after this life. It helps me strive to be the very best I can be. I do my best to be mindful of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and the Atoning sacrifice he made for my sins. I do my best to be kind to everyone I associate with. Being a Mormon helps me to be honest in all of my dealings with my fellow man. This has also blessed me with the knowledge that God loves and cares for me, and has a plan for my life. It is because of these things why I am a Mormon and do my best to live the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend church on a regular basis. In the past, I have taught younger children about the Gospel and the scriptures. During my first semester of college, I was in charge of planning activities for a group of fellow students in my church ward. I did my best to help make these activities both fun and spiritually uplifting. I try each day to live the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Steven
We believe that Jesus Christ truly is the Son of God. He led a perfect life, and atoned for the sins of the world in the Garden of Gethsemane and when he was crucified. Because of his Atonement, we will all be resurrected from death, and we can all receive forgiveness for our sins if we truly repent. Without Christ's Atonement, we would not be able to return to live in God's presence. Show more Show less
