Hi I'm Alex

I'm from good ol' West Texas. I study at BYU in Provo, and I will be serving a full-time mission in El Salvador/Belize.

About Me

I currently study at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where I am pursuing degrees in Economics and Psychology. On April 17, 2013, I will report to the Guatemala MTC, where I will learn the Spanish language in preparation to teach the people of El Salvador and Belize for the next two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love it. There is no other religion that gives the peace and security associated with our faith. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds the keys of the Priesthood, and therefore the power of our Heavenly Father to further His work on the Earth today. I know that this is the true and living gospel of Jesus Christ, restored to us with His power and blessing through Joseph Smith. I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I participate actively in my ward, where I serve as the pianist. I also attend activities such as Home Evening, Ward Wrap-Up, and various and sundry other get-togethers our ward schedules. In addition, I live my faith on a very personal level, as I study my scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father in an attempt to draw closer to Him and my goal of eternal salvation.
