Hi I'm Brandon

I was a student and now I am serving as a missionary in Illinois. I'm definitely a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a farming community and love to be in the field. I enjoy being outside and doing physical activities. I'm a lighthearted guy that loves to see people smile and laugh. One of my favorite activities is running through hail storms to earn a quarter or two from my sister. I often found myself at the beginning of a storm hoping the hail would get bigger so I could earn more money. She would stand at the front door and laugh as I would run to the road and back while I was pelted repeatedly by frozen stones of water. I truly love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has brought me so much peace to know the plan God has for me.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Only because it is true. I understand that everything rests on whether or not the Book of Mormon is true. We believe in the Bible as the word of God, but we also believe in the Book of Mormon. They are companions in teaching and knowing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our understanding, our doctrine, our claim to priesthood authority, and our belief in living prophets can all be discredited if the Book of Mormon can be discredited. I really wanted to know if the Book of Mormon was true, so I read it and followed the pattern found in the tenth chapter of Moroni, verses 3-5 (pg. 529). After reading it, I prayed. I promised God that if He would tell me the truth, and the book was true, I would devote my life to His church and kingdom on the earth. I prayed, "Father, is the Book of Mormon true?" I paused and tried to recognize how my feelings and thoughts changed. As I waited, an over-whelming sense of peace, joy, and love encompassed me. I knew it was true. I still know its true. I know God answers prayers.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a missionary! That means I leave my home and family for two years to help others come to know the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the entire gospel has been restored and I want to help others find the truth for themselves. Everyday I get to talk people who have questions and show them the answers. I'm here to help others and I love it! I can answer your questions too, just find me on Facebook!
