Hi I'm Desirie

I was born and raised in Utah. I love warm weather, children, and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being happy! I love seeing other people happy! I am the middle child of 5 kids. Having two older brothers made me grow up watching and attempting sports. I am not extrememly good at any one sport but I love to try and play around in most sports. I love being around children and I really look forward to when I will get to be a mom, being a mom has always been my dream job. I have recieved my associates degree in college and I now have my mission call to Brazil and I am so so excited to be a full time missionary and serve the wonderful people in Brazil.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ is what brings TRUE happiness into my life! Happiness that will last forever! I know that my Savior Jesus Christ love me personally and that I have a purpose here on earth. I know through His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that famililes can be together forever. I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father at any time or place and my prayer is heard. I am guided and counseled by a living prophet on the earth today. The Holy Ghost bears witness of these things to me, gives me peace in my life and builds my faith. I know that everyone that truly desires to know the truth can pray and find out for themselves. I know that I am not perfect, but because of Christ's atoning sacrifice that I can be forgiven of my mistakes and that that gift is for everyone, it is never too late to come back. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and when I read and study it I recieve answers and guidence in my life. I am a Mormon because I love to be happy and I love my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ and want to make them happy!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing what I know with others. Whether it is through words or how I live my life everyday. Accepting my call to serve a full time mission in Brazil is another way I am living my faith. I love the opportunites I have had to have different callings and responsibilities in my ward, from being a visiting teacher which has helped me get to know and love the sister's in my ward. Being on different committiees has helped me learn leadership and given me the chance to serve others.
