Hi I'm Ari

I grew up in Germany, my mom is Mexican and at the age of 15 my family and I moved to the United States. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am inrolled in the photography program in college, although I am not attending right now because I am preparing to serve a mission next year, it's something that I really enjoy. I also like to draw, paint and to play the piano simply to express myself with some sort of media. Since we moved from a different country to the the United States my english wasn't very good and I had an extremly hard time talking to people, making new friends or just to express who I was and who I am. So the art naturally surrounded me with people that shared the same interests like me, people that were gifted with patience. Patience to work on their art work and to listen to me and help me create a new home here. Durring that time I not only made new friends that are very dear to me now, but I also grew closer to my heavenly father. I felt that he was the one that no matter what ALWAYS understood me and was there to lift me up when I was down. I don't consider myself one of the blessed smart people, but I do consider myself as someone that got the gift from god of being able to express myself through my music and work, and I am tremendously grateful for that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives peace unto me. I know I am doing the right things when following the commandments and the church leaders. I am a Mormon because I know that our Heavenly Father loves us so much that he gave us another record, another testemony of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon. This book means so much to me, why? Because everytime I read it, the Holy Ghost testifies unto me that it is the word of God. Many times it has been a way of finding an answer to my everyday problems and to the questions life bring. It has been another way of personal revelation to me. I am a Mormon because I know that our Prophet is a true Prophet of God. He loves us so much and wants us to find the way back home to our Heavenly Father, that's why he invites us to follow his counsel. I am a Mormon because I have a strong testemony of families. Words can't describe how much I love my family and knowing that through the blessings of the temple we can be together for all eternity gives me hope and endless happiness. I know that living the standards of the gospel can be hard sometimes, but in the end it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks of you, but what your creator, your heavenly thinks of you. That's why I am grateful to say that I am a Mormon, because in the end it's all worth it.

How I live my faith

After some years of struggling I finally found peace in the gospel. Being able to teach others and to testify of the love that Jesus and God have for us is something that brings extrem joy to me. Now I have the opportunity to teach the young women of our ward on some of the sundays of the months. To see their afford and their growing faith gives me another reason to keep striving forward and to be an example for others. Even my music helped live my faith. I gladly accepted the offer to play the piano on sundays to accompany the church meetings, and the good and pure spirit that you could feel during those meetigs was priceless, it made me happy to be able to had the chance to share my talents in order to bless the lives of others.
