Hi I'm Steven Bevan

I'm from Arizona. I live in New York. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a family that is very outgoing and, actually, they never stop going. As a result my life includes something I call, "Never Ending Lists". I enjoy every type of outdoor activity there is. My "normal" activities range from; hunting, skiing, and go kart racing, to almost every sport you can imagine (my top two are without a doubt rugby and football). Despite the joy that all these bring to me, the real joy comes when I am with my family. My life has not always been fun and games, in fact I have had quite the assortment of jobs in my day. My most recent jobs include working in the construction field as a rough carpenter, detailing cars, washing windows, and putting up Christmas lights. All of which have taught me valuable lessons about how to "really" work and "really" live. What I have taken away most from my experiences is that I love helping others and giving service. This is just one of the many reasons why I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Western New York.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the truth I have found, the love I have felt, and the joy I have received. All that I had to do to experience this was follow the simple pattern we find in the scriptures. Which is; ask, seek, and knock. From this pattern I was led to the assurance that I am doing what is right.

How I live my faith

Looking back at my life and how my Faith has influenced my journey to where I am now, I can see that the biggest influence has come from the little things. Some of which include; prayer, daily study of the Scriptures, faithfully attending church and other meetings, and, last of all, reaching out to those that are in need. It is because of these, that I have learned my "role" in this world and that I can have peace and joy no matter what I face. At this point in my life I have been given the opportunity to dedicate my life to my Faith. I have done this by accepting a call to serve as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Everyday is full of service and sharing the Faith that I love. It is through this that I have found our spiritual life and our everyday life do not need to be separate. We can live a righteous life despite the opposition we face.
