Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in the United States. I am a scientist.

About Me

I am a husband and a dad. I play several musical instrements that helped get me though college. I work as a scientist in the criminal justice field.

Why I am a Mormon

I a Mormon because living the gospel of Jesus Christ bring peace that is found nowhere else in the world. No government, club, education, or money can bless my life as the gospel does. I love my family and love knowing that I will always have them. Not even death can permenantly separate us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching it with actions. I try to serve other people when I can. I treat those around me with the golden rule, even if we don't see eye to eye. They still deserve respect and their opinions are also valuable. I also serve within the church, teaching others, planning activities, and assisting those in need.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Scott
We believe in serving all of God's children as equals. Every man, woman, and child on Earth is precious to God. Race, gender, lifestyle choices, or religion aren't factors in being accepted or served. We are placed on this Earth to learn, grow and help each other on this journey. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Scott
The Bible is God's word and teachings given through prophets in ancient times. It contains gospel princples, geneology, and world history. It is of great value to all people and should be studied to help shape our lives. We don't however believe that it is all of God's words. He has and does reveal more to his children in his love and effort to bless us. Additional scriptures such as the Book of Mormon are not meant to replace the Bible, they are given to support the Bible and bring us closer to God. They are of one purpose. Show more Show less
