Hi I'm Sara

I was born and raised in Oregon. I love sports and my family. I'm a soon to be missionary in Slovenia and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm the 4th of 5 children and am from Canby, Oregon. I'm an Oregonian at heart and love to be outside, hiking, camping, rafting, etc. I love to play sports and spend time with my family and friends. I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because the gospel of Christ brings more joy into my life than anything else I have EVER done. I used to think that nothing could beat the feeling of scoring the winning basket in a game, making a clutch free throw, aceing a serve in tennis to win the set, or outrunning an opponent in a race. But something does feel better than that and that feeling comes from knowing that there is a plan for us! A plan for each and every individual who ever has and will step foot on this earth. A plan that will ultimately lead us back to live with our Heavenly Father again, forever. I am a mormon because living the gospel is easy. I am a mormon because the pressures of the world were diminished as soon as I understood how and why Christ and God love me. I am a mormon because I know the gospel that this church teaches is TRUE.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being true to the principles the gospel teaches.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

It's a wide misconception that mormons worship Joseph Smith. However, that notion is false. Mormons view Joseph Smith as a prophet, just as Moses was a prophet. We worship God, and his son, the resurrected Jesus Christ. We recognize the work that Joseph Smith did to bring forth the gospel in these days, but we don't worship him. He died a martyr and as mormons we respect and admire his dedication to the church and to the gospel. We go to church to worship God and his son and to learn of the teachings of Jesus and how we can implement those teachings and concepts into our lives. Show more Show less
