Hi I'm Kristen

I am Grateful. I am Happy. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am 23 years old and I am a wife to an amazing husband, who is a full time-student pursuing a dental career. I am mom to the cutest little girl, who is almost one year old. I am a stay at home mom. I have a cosmetology license and I cut hair, full time, in a salon for 4 years. Now I 'take care of people's hair' in my home. I love to clean. I love to make crafts. I love to go on long walks with my family. I love to eat ANYTHING with of sugar in it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons.) I have learned about our gospel all my life. I know that it is true. People say that I don't know anything different or that I am only following my 'parents ways' but that is the beautiful thing about our religion. We know that we can have our own perosnal belief (testimony) that this gospel is true. I know that my Father in Heaven knows me and loves me. I know that He is real and that He has a plan for each one of us. I know that my brother Jesus Christ came to this earth to be our Savior and Redeemer. I know that He paid the price so that I can be made perfect/complete after this life, if I strive to do my best. I know that Joseph Smith restored this true church back to the earth and that The Book of Mormon is true and I love reading from it. I know that the promises we make in our temples are sacred and beautiful and that we can be with our Heavenly Father and our families for eternity if we strive to keep the covenants that we make in The House of the Lord (temple.) I know that our prophet today (Thomas S. Monson) leads this church under the direction and guidance from our Heavenly Father. I know that what he says is true and that if we try to live by his counsel we will be blessed. I love this gospel. I love the feeling of true happiness that it can bring. I know that life brings trials and heartache but being a Mormon gives me a constant source of peace and comfort.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect. Not even close. But I try to live my faith, in some way, each day- by praying to my Father in Heaven, reading from the Book of Mormon and the Bible, making treats to take to a family who has been on my mind, participating in classes that teach our beliefs or going to church on Sundays. Each Sunday I teach a lesson about the gospel to the 3 and 4 year olds, so their parents can go to classes and learn. I enjoy talking to and hearing what these sweet little children have to say.
