Hi I'm Rebecca

I grew up in a family of twelve. I love music and blueberry pop-tarts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the tenth child of twelve children, ten girls and two boys. Music has been an integral part of my life and I have come to appreciate the music to a whole new level as I continue to study and develop this talent. I work as a Computer Refurb Technician and I love spending time with my family. I'm pretty competitive and I enjoy playing Racquetball and Ultimate Frisbee.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a in an active LDS family. I was baptized when I was eight years old and have always just believed that this church was true. When I was 19 years old I was struggling with life and trying to find ways to really be happy and find direction. If I was going to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I needed to know it was true for myself. I began a habit of praying and reading daily in my scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon and fasting often for answers and guidance. One evening I knelt down and prayed for my own testimony of the Gospel. I was reminded by the power of the Holy Ghost of all the witnesses I had already had that this was true. I have had to search for my own answers because conversion is a very individual process. More importantly, I have learned that it is a process. We don't just receive answers in one event but it comes little by little, through faith, repentance and being obedient to God's commandments. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and another testament of Jesus Christ. I testify that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet in these latter days to bring back the Savior's church. I know that God is our Heavenly Father and that He loves all of His children. I know that Jesus is the Christ and He is the head of His church. He lived a perfect life, paid the ultimate price so that we can repent and be forgiven of our sins, and He lives again. I know that this life is meant for us to become like Jesus Christ and receive a fullness of joy. I am a Mormon because this is Jesus Christ's church and the only way to live with our Heavenly Father again is found and taught therein. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is true and I know it.

How I live my faith

There is a joy in serving others and I can do that in the church. I visit the sisters in my ward and pray for them. I strive to be honest in all things and reliable so that others can count on me. I hope to be a good example of an obedient daughter of God and each day consider if my actions would reflect that.
