Hi I'm Mark Jay Wahlen

I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. I'm a college student and a basketball coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a basketball player, fitness fanatic, reader of books, watcher of movies, listener of music and chaser of dreams. I've been attending college for four years now and during that time I've completed my Associates Degree but I've also been working on completing a technical degree called the Fitness Technician Degree. I'm planning on becoming a certified personal trainer and then eventually going on to become a physical therapist. I love basketball and the Utah Jazz. I'm always up for playing, talking or watching basketball anywhere at any time. I love watching or going to Utah Jazz games. They've been my favorite team my whole life and I rarely miss seeing their games. I also love to coach basketball. I've been coaching girls high school basketball for the last year and a half. Some of my other hobbies and interests include playing video games, watching movies and reading books. I use to play in local and national competitive video game tournaments but now I only play recreationally. I love good stories and so I love watching movies and reading books.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? It's because of the people. I've never been around a more caring and loving group of people in my life. I also believe that the core teachings and beliefs of the church are good things that help make this world a better place.

How I live my faith

I've been serving as an assistant executive secretary for roughly six months now. My job is to work with our church leadership to make sure church events and activities are organized and run smoothly. My calling entails other various responsibilities but the two most fundamental and basic things I do is to make sure the church is able to function properly and to assist the church leadership in whatever ways I can.
