Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a college student, I'm from southern California, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student attending Brigham Young University and I am from Southern California. Right now, I am studying art history. I'm interested in possibly working in a museum or even a library someday! Some of my hobbies include reading, sleeping, and eating! I also adore cheesy puns.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. I grew up with both my parents teaching me and my siblings about the gospel, and the rest is history! I love this gospel, and I definitely would not be the same without it. This gospel has taught me many values that have shaped my life to how it is today. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and his Atoning sacrifice for us all. I love serving others, just as Christ did during His earthly ministry, and just as He still does today. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and I know they love me too. I know that I am a child of our loving Heavenly Father and I am striving to become more like Him everyday.

How I live my faith

I have recently received a mission call to serve in the West Indies Mission! I am really excited to serve as a missionary and serve the people of the West Indies- I love them already! As a missionary, I will be testifying of Jesus Christ and all that He has done for us through the infinite Atonement. Because the Atonement has been such a huge part of my own life, I want to share it with others! Currently, I am in the Emergency Preparedness Committee in my singles ward. I have also served as a Family Home Evening Group leader, a Visiting Teaching coordinator, and as Laurel class president. I love serving others, and through whatever calling I am given, I strive to help others in their needs.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Jenny
Our purpose during this earthly life is to become more like our Heavenly Father. We were sent to Earth to receive a physical body and exercise our agency to choose between what is right and what is wrong. During our life, we will learn from our experiences (whether good or bad). We are not perfect, and that is why our Heavenly Father sent His son, Jesus Christ, to accomplish the great and everlasting Atonement. Through His Atonement, we are able to have our sins forgiven as we repent and center our lives around Christ. By following Christ's example, we can all someday return to live with Him and those we love. Show more Show less
