Hi I'm Jordann Jones

I grew up in Utah. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was 19 I was a college student at the local university. I put school on hold so I might serve the Lord wherever he pleases. I am to serve 18 months as a representative for the LDS church in Knoxville Tennessee. I love this gospel and only have a desire to share it with others.I am the eldest of four children, and care very much for my family and friends. I love to sing, act, and sketch. I also have a growing passion for photography and love to see the world through a camera lense. I also love to watch movies with friends and travel when I can. This gospel is my life. Every decision I make, and any challenge I face is matched with gospel application and personal revelation. I am a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it and I intend to for time and an eternity to come.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a strong lineage of individuals that have been immersed in this gospel. Growing up I listened well to the lessons I was taught, and the rules my parents set forth. Being raised in this church does not mean my conversion story was any less difficult than others, for I had to truly become a convert myself. I needed to find my own voice, and build upon my own testimony. I put Moroni's promise to the test and asked God whether or not the Book of Mormon is true. I received my answer and have been acting in faith ever since to make my testimony known and to live accordingly. I also have come to know while serving in the south that the Bible is the word of God and that hand in hand they are great resources for us to receive revelation, hope and knowledge of how we might receive salvation and exaltation. My testimony of the savior and his atonement has never been stronger, and it continues to grow more and more every day.

How I live my faith

Knowing that I am a daughter of my heavenly father helps me to realize my true potential. It helps me to know that he is aware of my needs, wants and desires and assuredly has a specific plan for me individually. I work diligently to be an example to my peers and only wish to set an example not only as a daughter of God, but as a compassionate human being. Anyone can have a belief in something but it is faith that causes you to act based on a principle of trust. I do my best to act in faith every day allow that trust to be my guide. My faith gives me hope.

What is faith?

Jordann Jones
Faith is believing in things which are not seen, which are true. Faith is acting upon these beliefs, trusting that God will aid your actions and motives along the way. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Jordann Jones
The choosing of the LDS prophet is through divine election and proclamation made by Jesus Christ. He is the head of this church, and it is through him that all prophets of old and of the latter days have come to be. Show more Show less
