Hi I'm Carly

I grew up in Utah. I will be serving a mission for 18 months in the Philippines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended one semester in school studying Elementary Education, but am now taking a break to serve an LDS mission for 18 months in the Philippines. I've lived in Utah almost my whole life, and I love it here! I like to read, play the piano, I play lacrosse and soccer, and I love cookie dough ice cream. I currently have a missionary boyfriend serving in California. We dated for almost three years and hope to conitinue when we're both home again--he's a total sweetheart and I love him very much!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt in my mind that it is God's true church on earth. There are many scriptures that tell us there is only one true God, and His one true church-I have found it. When I listen to the prophets speak, or hear another's testimony I feel so strongly inside myself that it is the truth. I've prayed and heard God speak quietly to me through the Holy Ghost saying that this church will bring me the greatest happiness I'll find on this earth. I am a Mormon because I know that only through this church will I be with my family forever, and I can be with my husband for eternity. I will see all of my loved ones again in heaven with Heavenly Father as long as I do what he asks. I am a Mormon because I was destined to come to Earth and share with others the truthfulness of the LDS church.

How I live my faith

I go to church every sunday and have served in many different callings including visiting the other girls in my Young Single Adult ward, serving in presidencies for my young women groups, and participating in many church events. I love seeing the many different friends I've made at church, and I enjoy sharing my testimony with them when I am asked to give a talk or help with a lesson in sunday school. I also live my faith every other day of the week by showing others that I believe in Jesus Christ and act as an example of him in all of my decisions and actions.
