Hi I'm Corey

I come from a small town. I am now a university student and future missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a rural community and I have been blessed to be able to attend a fantastic university. I love helping people and being a leader in my community. Recently, I was called as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I am now preparing to serve the Lord for the next 18 months as of May 1, 2013. I am so excited for this opportunity.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I could not be otherwise. Though I respect other religions, I have come to a knowledge of the truth of the LDS church by way of feeling the Spirit work through myself and others. Somewhere around six years ago, I was baptized into this church and everyday since then, I have progressed in such a manner that I can no longer imagine my life as happy without the guidance of the gospel. Initially, I joined the church because I felt like I needed more in my life, and I did. I found exactly what I was looking for and more when I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving people around me at church and in my community. I come from a depressed county in which there are many in need of assistance and guidance. In my time off from university, I devote much of my time to helping others- inside and outside of my church. I have found that my own testimony is reinforced when I am helping others and seeking to have the same love for others that Christ has for each of us.

Are Mormons Christians?

The Mormon faith is centered upon a belief in Jesus Christ. We strive to remember the Atonement of Christ and to utilize its redeeming powers to the best of our abilities. The Savior is an integral component of our gospel and without Him, I am fully convinced that there would be no Mormon faith. Mormons love Christ, we strive to be like Christ, and we are proud to be a part of His Plan of Salvation. We also know that, without Jesus Christ, eternal salvation would not be attainable as Christ suffered so that we might have joy and that we may be able to return to He an Heavenly Father someday.
